German manufacturer Porsche has released a new video starring its recently unveiled 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid, a model that the Stuttgart-based manufacturer says will set new standards in efficiency, performance and operating convenience.
The hybrid Panamera far exceeds the driving performance of the previous model.
Its powertrain is made of an electic motor producing 95 hp (which is more than double the power of the previous model’s electric motor at 47 hp) and the well known 3.
0-liter V6 unit credited with an output of 316 hp.
The combined power of this setup provides the car with a total output of 410 horsepower, enough to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.
5 seconds and reach a top speed of 269 km/h (167 mph).
The previous model’s NEDC fuel consumption of 7.
1 l/100 km was reduced by 56 per cent to 3.
1 l/100 km.
That equates to CO2 emissions of 71 g/km.
At the same time, its all-electric driving performance was substantially improved with regard to electric acceleration, the electric range and electric top speed.
A realistic all-electric driving range would lie somewhere between 18 and 36 km while top speed in all-electric operation is rated at 135 km/h (83 mph).
