According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Carlo Fiorani head of Honda Europe has been quoted as saying that if retired 7 times Formula 1 champion, Michael Schumacher wants to ride in World Superbike Championship next year he’d be more than welcome and that they would give him all the support he’d need.
“If he wants to ride at another level, there’s a factory Honda waiting for him.
Michael is convinced that the German Championship is right for him at the moment, but if he wants to ride for us, there’s a bike ready for him, all he has to to do is ask” stated Fiorani.
Schumacher tested Carlos Checa’s Honda last September at Magny-Cours, he also tested Troy Bayliss’ world championship-winning Ducati 1098 and Noriyuki Haga’sYamaha YZF-R1 at the Portimao race circuit.
