Audi A5 Cabriolet: 2009 launch

This Audi has gone under the knife (or the mouse) and the rendering has served its purpose: it’s just a shame that a play of light flattens out the form.
The “bath tub” effect will not be a prerogative for the series, though.

Inside Lane has published this computer rendition of the future Audi A5 cabriolet: the open top expected in 2009 and destined to pay testimony to the A4 in the sector of four-seater convertibles.

The final result won’t be too far from this, with style inherited from the coupé and a sloping wind shield towards the rear, where a fabric hood will be housed.

Even the engine range should see some similarities from its sister car: the 1.
8 TFSI will step up to the V6 FSI at 250 hp, while the magic letters S and RS will appear on eight-cylinder models.
All diesel engines will be six cylinders.
