077s from Crutchlow while Michel Fabrizio took fourth in front of privateer Ducati rider Carlos Checa.
Championship leader Max Biaggi made a big jump forward finishing in sixth, but he was a little more than half a second slower that the Sterilgarda Yamaha rider, while Shane Byrne took seventh and Luca Scassa dropped to 8th, but he was faster than Leon Camier on the factory Aprila and James Toseland on the other factory Yamaha.

Noriyuki Haga took a enormous step backwards and finished in 13th, while Jonathan Rea was 16th and wishing he tested at Misano instead of Assen.
Corser wasn’t the only rider to fall, unlucky Chris Vermeulen, Lorenzo Lanzi and James Toseland also had their first day at Misano hampered by falls, but luckily no one was injured.
