After missing the Le Mans GP following his collarbone surgery, Colin Edwards is set to return to action for this weekend’s Catalunya GP.
Edwards fractured his right collarbone after being wiped out by Randy de Puniet’s sliding ART machine during qualifying at Estoril earlier this month, and was replaced by Chris Vermeulen in the French GP.
“I’m excited to come back, I’m probably not 100% yet.
I was actually thinking of riding here at the boot camp this past weekend but decided to give it a rest for a few more days.
I got the staples taken out last week.
I’ve been swimming a lot these last few days and it feels good, I have full movement and it doesn’t hurt.
I would say I’m at about 90% right now.
Looking forward to this weekend,” said Edwards who with his team will continue development work on the updated electronics package.
