MotoGP Jerez: Light drizzle curtails action in FP1

The light drizzle that started in the final minuted of Moto3 free practice, curtailed MotoGP’s FP1 action.
The Jerez circuit wasn’t completely wet and it wasn’t damp, but it wasn’t even dry, so very few riders decided to put in a couple of laps in these mixed conditions trying to save their four wet tires, for a fully wet practice.

Only Colin Edwards, Randy De Puniet, Andrea Dovizioso, Ivan Silva, Ben Spies, Michele Pirro, Karel Abraham, Alvaro Bautista, Mattia Pasini and Stefan Bradl tried their luck, but only eight of these riders posted valid lap timesAvintia rider Silva headed the timesheets with a best time of 1.
