Alex Polita was dropped from Sterilgarda’s BRC Racing Team even before the SBK season started due to sponsorship troubles, with Team Manager Marco Borciani promising that they would be back on track for the Valencia round with their second bike.
However Polita has announced that he will be riding in this year’s Italian SuperStock championship with a Yamaha R1, in a new team called Team CP Racing, that was created especially for him by his father, ex rider Giancarlo Polita and a family friend.
This is what Alex Polita had to say about his decision:“These last months have been difficult and I’ve found out firsthand who are the people who really care for me.
I’d like to thank Giuseppe Andreani who gave me a big helping hand.
I’ll have first class Ohlins and official Dunlop tires.
I didn’t want to stop for a year and after talking with several teams at different levels, I’ve decided that if I have to pay to race and rather do it in my own team.
I’m starting where I began.
Camper and bike trailer.
I’m already working on the 2010 season, I don’t deserve to be left out of the World Championship and I’m going to try everything to get back in.
