The news that KTM will produce an electric motor cross bike in 2010 is official, bringing a new edge to the sport.
The performance will be similar to a two-stroke 250cc bike, but with an even lighter weight than a 125cc.
The lithium ion batteries will have about a 40 minute duration period under intense use.

KTM has added its name to the growing list of electric bike producers including the Quantya EVO-1 and the Zero X, though KTM should have the advantage of its industrial position, including a distribution network, parts change, guarantees and competitive prices.
