In an interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport (in Italian via JCJillCox@twitter.
com) Cairoli talked about his 2012 season, the upcoming season, David Phiilippaerts, his KTM, the Motocross of Nations where he raced with #46 and talking about the number the interview turned to his friend Valentino Rossi and his return to Yamaha.
The 27-year old said, “I hope that he finds a motorcycle more adapt to his riding style.
Knowing him I think that he can win the title.
Rossi is a friend of mine and has often invited me to his Moto Ranch, but unfortunately I’ve a lot of committments, but I’ll go one day.
” Actually MX champion has already been to Rossi’s ranch in Tavullia in 2011, teaching the MotoGP rider and several of his cronies the tricks of motocross riding, Cairoli also spent a few words on Max Biaggi: “He was great, and I say it with respect, at his age winning another world championship title.
I wish I could win a title at 41.
I don’t know what I would have done in his place, but a winner wants to retire as a winner.
