WSBK Valencia Heat 2 – Nitro Nori Haga wins by 0.025s!

After Race 2 at the Ricardo Tormo race track in Valencia was red flagged following the big crash of Kawasaki rider Simon Andrews and Vittorio Iannuzzo on his Squadra Corse Honda, the second heat would reserve a big surprise with Noriyuki Haga taking a stunning victory.

The Xerox Ducati rider took the turnabout win despite being down on the aggregate chart and pushing back both Carlos Checa and Max Biaggi who finished in aggregrate timing second and third place respectively, but on the finish line it was Biaggi 2nd and Checa 3rd.

Suzuki Alstare’s Leon Haslam, winner of Race 1 could only finish fourth and his worst result so far this season and 10 seconds behind on aggregate time and over two seconds ahead Jonathan Rea who took fifth place.
Sylvain Guintoli was sixth in the race and James Toseland who took and excellent 3rd place in Race 1 could manage only a seventh spot ahead of Shane Byrne, and Cal Crutchlow with Jakub Smrz closing out the top 10.
Leon Haslam still leads the championship going into round 4 with 123 points, 17 points ahead of Max Biaggi.

Checa is third with 80 points, one more than Noriyuki Haga.
