Marco Simoncelli breaks scaphoid

Bad news and season opener in Qatar in doubt for the 250cc World Champion Marco Simoncelli.
The Italian has fractured the scaphoid of his right wrist while training.
The accident happened at the famous “Cava” (quarry) where Valentino Rossi and friends get together and train with their motocross bikes.

Simoncelli is being followed the trauma unit at the Modena hospital who will try to to put the rider in condition to race next Sunday in Qatar.

Dr.
Claudio Costa who is present at the SBK Valencia races has confirmed that Simoncelli will also be visited by the same doctor in San Marino who operated him three years ago.
