One of the biggest initiatives of The Marco Simoncelli Foundation will be the creation of a rehabilitation center for disabled children in the city of Coriano, that will also include a park and and pool and the entire project will cost over 1 million euros to realize.
In order to build this dream the Foundation has decided to allow the image of their very much missed son to be used on a special prepaid Mastercard dubbed ‘Sic Card’ which will also allow you to help others as everytime you spend and then reload the card, a small amount will be withheld and will turn into donations for the Foundation.
All the riders who took part in Quad, Freestyle, Enduro and Flat Track MotoLIve exhibitions at the 2012 EICMA decided to donate 10,000 euros to the charity and Dorna’s Carmelo Ezpeleta was also on hand to return to the Honda ‘SuperSic’ CBR1000RR which he won on the online auction for a little more 50,000 euros, which he then upped in a fitting tribute to 58,000.
