The Top Gear Stunt Live team had set a World Record with double loop-the-loop on four wheels with a specially built buggy in Durban, South Africa last June, but apparently not satisfied they attempted – and succeded – with the same stunt, but this time using a motocross bike.
The stunt aptly dubbed “Deadly 720+” was performed at the NEC show at Birmingham by an extraordinary Gary Hoptrough, who rode a standard KTM 250 SX-F (with recalibrated suspensions) around the same two eight meter tall steel loops that put the team in the Guinness Book of World Records for the second time.
Check out the video and you’ll no doubt agree with Jeremy Clarkson that “it was pretty nerve wracking and spectacular!”
