Giacomo Agostini has decided to put his Moto2 team on the back burner and wait out the 2010 season to see how things play out in the new championship series.
“Thanks, but I’m not in a hurry.
” said the most successful rider in motorcycle history.
”I want to do things in a right way and there’s not enough time to build a team to suit the situation.
We would have to work too quickly.
” When asked if he has given up on the project, Ago replied: “Not at all, I’m going to stand at the window and see how this Moto2 takes off.
”Agostini ‘s intention is to return to his project in the mid 2010 and assess the situation and work in prospect for the 2011 season, however the Italian champion could have an even more ambitious project with MV Agusta -Cagiva, which could have something to do with the recent MotoGP rule changes that will see the return of the 1000cc in 2012.
