The MV Agusta F3 has continued the MV Agusta tradition of making beautiful sports bikes, but the range is set to expand into other variants as well.
After an F3 Brutale-style naked to be developed, we will also see a new MV Agusta F3 motard model, according to MCN.
In speaking with MV Agusta F3 designer, the new bike could be a competitor to the Ducati Hypermotard.
Designer Morton says:I think the Hypermotard is a great road bike….
I think it’s one of the most sigificant bikes to reflect the transition from uncompromising sports bikes to more practical, ‘unthreatening’ two wheeled transport.
Any bike to bear the MV Agusta badge on the fuel tank the bike has to be exceptional, not just OK.
If the values that we see as essential for MV Agusta are appreciated by passionate motorcyclists, then hopefully our bikewill find its way to centre-stage.
It will be a thoroughbred, and in many respects be just as focused and exceptional as the F3, just within a more usable package.
That’s not saying much for how the MV Agusta F3 motard might distinguish itself from the Ducati Hypermotard but the philosophy is clear – building a more user-friendly, practical bike for the road.
According to Morton, the F3 street motard project is an entirely new one, with the model marking a new category for MV Agusta.
