Casey Stoner second highest earning sports star in Australia

Winning a MotoGP championship title does wonders for your salary earnings.
Casey Stoner moved from last year’s fourth place with $6.
8 million to second place with an estimated $9.
5 million (these are Australian dollars) according to Business Review Weekly’s annual survey of Australia’s top 50 sports earners.

Stoner’s title with 10 wins and 12 pole positions propelled him to the top of the motor racers list, beating last year’s top ranking F1 driver Mark Webber who dropping to third with ‘just’ $9 million, followed by motocross star Chad Reed in fourth who raked in $8.

5 million, while the 2011 number one earner and highest earning sports star in Australia is Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut with $13 million.
