Let’s be honest here: the latest MotoGP round in Catalunya was definitely not one of the most exciting races we have seen this year.
The Spanish riders on the Japanese factory bikes just dominated start to finish and didn’t really gave us many reasons to jump on our couches: Jorge Lorenzo took the first spot right away from pole sitter Dani Pedrosa and led the whole race chased by Pedrosa and wonder-boy Marc Marquez, but the Honda duo never managed to put any pressure on the reigning World Champion.
What’s more is that they even really battled to each other either, with Marquez trying his luck just in the last couple of laps but had to surrender on the finish line for just 9 hundredths of a second.
Following the early crashes of Cal Crutchlow, Nicky Hayden, Alvaro Bautista and Andrea Iannone, all we were left with were the three Spanish stars proceeding politely on the track with little else going on behind them.
So, for once, it was the fans who beeded the most cheering up, and that’s exactly when the work of the lovely paddock ladies becomes particularly important.
