Paola Cazzola, a 31 year old from Vicenza Italy may get the opportunity of a lifetime because she’s been offered a ride in this important championship.
Known in Italy as the “Valentino Rossi in pink” Cazzola won the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Italian Women’s Championship and occasionally races against men and in June won the Vallelunga race in the R6 Metzeler Cup group A series, beating in a four way battle her male colleagues and championship leader Stefano Casalotti.
“Top secret the name of the team and marque of the bike,” says Paola ““because I haven’t signed yet and I’d rather not say anything more, just in case…”
