Casey Stoner to run #1 plate in 2012

Apparently two time MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner is not superstitious as he’ll be running the number one plate on his Honda RC213V in 2012 – of late MotoGP riders who have run #1 haven’t won back-to-back titles.
Stoner won a record 10 races in 2011 (the same as he did in 2007 when he took the crown on Ducati) and this year was off the podium only once due to being wiped out by Valentino Rossi at Jerez, and he’ll be ditching his trademark number 27 to defend his crown with the #1 plate.
