The second day of Moto2 testing at Estoril was another washout, with only nine riders deciding to risk doing some laps in very poor weather conditions, while all the others prudently decided it wasn’t worth turning a wheel.
Aleix Espargaro, Axel Pons, Kenan Sofuoglu and Dominique Aegerter, Tech 3’s Bradley Smith and Mike Di Meglio, wet weather specialist Anthony West and team mate Max Neukirchner, plus Moto2 rookie Randy Krummenacher all tried to get some lap time between the intermittent showers, but five of them ended up hitting the asphalt, fortunately with no injuries.

Testing continues today, though forecasts predict even cooler temperatures and more rain.
The next Moto2 tests are scheduled at Jerez, March 4th to 6th, when the teams will finally receive the official Honda engines from Geo Technology.
