We didn’t post this video to show you Jorge Lorenzo crashing out during the Brno GP last Sunday, but to show you how his Dainese D-Air system racing leathers deployed.
Lorenzo started used the airbag leathers during German GP weekend, after sustaining injuries in the US round.
Valentino Rossi, who has been closely following the development of the project and working with Dainese’s Technology Center technicians to gather data also used the suit in the race.

Fortunately for Lorenzo the air bag suit deployed correctly saving him from any injuries, but their was a glitch, because the suit is programmed to deflate after 10 seconds, but in Lorenzo’s case it took a full 15 minutes.
Lorenzo was unable to restart the race because of the damage to his Yamaha M1, but according to the Spanish rider even if he could have restarted, he would have been unable to race till the suit deflated.

Lorenzo further said that the system is good, but it still has to be refined.
