Before Elena Rosell in Moto2 and after Taru Rinne in 125cc, there was Katja Poensgen in 250cc.
This season Poensgen will be competing in the FIM e and TTXGP series with Muench Racing team on board the Munch TTE alongside Matthias Himmelmann, the two-time TTXGP World Champion.
The German rider tested the new Munch TTE motorcycle last May after the FIM e Power race that was held in Schleiz, Germany, as part of the TV show ‘BIKE – Polo Motorrad Magazin’ that she co-hosted (video after the jump) what she didn’t expect was to be called on to race but since the team has Windreich AG (a market leader in manufacturing and erecting wind turbines) as a new sponsor they could add an extra rider.
When I tested the Muench TTE for Polo Motorbike Magazine in Schleiz in 2011 I was really excited.
I am all the more thrilled now that I actually get to race next to Matthias Himmelmann in the FIM and TTXGP racing series,” stated Katja Poensgen.
