The FIM has announced their 2010 MotoGP provisional calendar and one of the things we’ve noticed which we don’t understand, unless there are conflicts with other motorsports series, that in this period of so called cost saving measures, complaints and financial diffulties of running a MotoGP team, they’ve organized the calendar so that the whole circus moves from Laguna Seca, back to Brno in Europe and then back to the States for the Indiannapolis GP and then back to Europe for the Misano round.
The other interesting item is the presence of the Motorland Aragon Circuit in case one the circuits cannot meet the GP requirements for some reason or other.
The Motorland Aragon circuit is a new international-standard circuit built in Spain.
The track layout was designed by Hermann Tilke and has three different versions depending on the event and the new 5.
345 meter Spanish track will officially open in September 2009.
Adding the Motorland Aragon track as a standby, we’re wondering if Dorna and FIM are still unsure if the Balatonring circuit will be fully completed due to financial difficulties.
