During last night’s Italian TV show “Paddock, uomini e corse” (Paddock, men and races) it was revealed that Sterilgarda will be Yamaha’s new main sponsor and will make their first appearance on the liveries of Ben Spies and Tom Sykes R1’s at Monza this weekend.
Sterilgarda’s CEO Primo Ferrari, has always supported WSBK, and it seems he’s been so impressed by Ben Spies impact in the series, that he’s decided to support the team.
Rumours also have it that Sterilgarda has signed a two year contract with Yamaha, but will continue to sponsor Marco Borciani’s Ducati team and Shane Byrne at least for the rest of this year and also continue to be one of Max Biaggi’s personal sponsors.
