The Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Southern Iceland that has brought air traffic to a standstill over much of Europe has won and has caused the postponement of the upcoming MotoGP round in Motegi, Japan.
Dorna and IRTA have decided to postpone the race due to the problems that teams and riders are having trouble in booking flights as many airlines are grounded due to the volcanic ash drifting over the large parts of Europe and with no idea when flights can safely take off.
The Motegi GP has been rescheduled for October 3rd, between the Aragon and Sepang rounds.
