John Hopkins, that’s a name we haven’t heard around here for quite awhile.
There’s a new hot rumor surrounding the Anglo-American rider today, that has brightened up this dreary and boring rainy day.
According to British website bikesportnews.
com, the former MotoGP and World Superbike and AMA rider may be heading to Great Britain to team up with his ex-Rizla Suzuki boss, Paul Denning and his British Superbike Crescent Racing team.
Hopkins raced this 2010 season in the AMA Superbike championship with John Ulrich’s M4 Suzuki team, even if he had to sit out several events, to undergo a complete wrist construction surgery (many doctors told him to retire and that his racing career was over) but was able to return to action and finished 10th in the overall standings with podiums at the New Jersey and Barber rounds.
At the present Hopkins has yet to confirm a 2011 deal with M4 Monster Energy Suzuki team and with several big name AMA riders still without a ride for next season, like Jake Zemke, keeping a door open to the BSB series, could be a credible option for Hopper.
