The original CR&S DUU appeared at the 2009 EICMA show as a prototype and these new pics show its first steps towards becoming a production model.
The company is a small workshop run by Roberto Crepaldi in Milan and all DUU models are entirely hand built to order.
This gorgeous bike will go on show again at the 2010 EICMA in its final series form and whether you consider a practical machine or not, it’s definitely something to look at.

Two versions of the CR&S DUU will be produced – a single seat and a twin-seater.
For 2011 all models have already been ordered, with more than 130 orders placed meaning that CR&S has also had to moved headquarters to a larger production facility.
The muscular design combines with an American X-Wedge V-Twin engine from S&S.
Despite that US influence, the guys at CR&S have tried to keep things European in terms of the chassis design and overall style and the DUU has already won a design award from the MAD-Moto Arte Design competition.

With an economic downturn still looming large over Europe, this workshop design and culture of quality, hand-built product has put CR&S in good stead for its future plans.

Crepaldi describes his company’s manifesto, saying: “We want to apply to the field of motorcycling what already happens in that of prestigious cars, where customisation happens already in the assembly phase.
Currently, though, a rider has to buy a motorcycle already like it is, apart from very few changes, and then personalise it later.
We give our customers the chance to build together with us their bikes, following all the construction processes from ordering to after-sales updates.
