PBMUK’s Team principal Paul Bird via Twitter released the first images of the new chassis that Michael Laverty will using on his PBM-01 machine this upcoming season in MotoGP.
In their second year in the premier class the team has decided to have new rider Yonny Hernandez continue with the full-fledged ART machine that James Ellison debuted in 2012, while Laverty will be riding PBM’s new CRT project with a chassis developed by GPMS (who used to supply the chassis for the Kenny Roberts former MotoGP team) and will house an Aprilia RSV4 engine.
The British based team will be debuting their new PBM-01 Aprilia at Sepang with the Magneti Marelli control ECU supplied by Dorna which will be used by some CRT teams this season before being made mandatory in 2014.
The CRT squads that have decided to anticipate the use of the spec ECU will get an extra two-day test session (February 3-4) ahead of the rest of the MotoGP teams that will be at the Malaysian circuit from February 5th thru 7th.
