When it made its debut at the EICMA last year, there’s no denial that the Diavel shocked quite a few Ducati purists, who just could not believe what the Borgo Panigale-based company had come up with: a ‘fat cruiser’.
One year down the line, it seems that most people has come to terms with the model, mostly because.

.
well, the Diavel is not easy to classify, but with a 0-100km (62mph) sprint time of 2.

6 seconds and a dry weight of 207 kg (456 lb), it is definitely not a ‘fat cruiser’.
After all, it has a Ducati Testastretta 11° engine inside.
This year Ducati Diavel went back to Milan with a shiny new dress, it’s the new Ducati Diavel Cromo.
Actually there is not that much chrome here in which to mirror yourself, just the sides of both fuel tank and head light, but that’s enough to create an interesting contrast with the other shiny and matt black parts of the bike, something that surely adds up to the personality of the Diavel Cromo.

Aesthetics aside, it’s got the whole lot: ride-by-wire throttle system, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Riding Modes, standard ABS, Marzocchi front fork and Sachs rear suspension, Brembo monobloc calipers and so on.

The Diavel 2012 uses revised intake and exhaust ports and re-adjusted cam timing to increase bottom end torque, and has a new water pump.
Ducati claims that the 2012 Diavel delivers 162 hp (119 kW) at 9,500 rpm and 127.
5 Nm (94 lb-ft) of maximum torque at 8,000 rpm.
