No handbags, Casey Stoner clarifies Rossi Estoril test incident

The Italian media was just waiting for today’s press conference at Le Mans to hear from Casey Stoner his side of the story of what exactly happened between him and Valentino Rossi during the Estoril MotoGP test, when Rossi reported that Stoner had purposely blocked him.

Stoner calmly answered that the contact had happened, but it was a mistake on his part, “I had just finished my lap and I wanted to see what the Ducati was capable of so I followed him but I missed my braking marker.

I didn’t want to overtake him but I ran a bit wide and I came past too quickly, but didn’t want to get into his way.
Valentino slowed up and looked at me, I looked at him and it ended there.
” While Rossi refused to be baited by the press and backpedaled on his previous statement, “In reality nothing special, nothing, no problem.
Nothing happened.
