The Smart eScooter is considered one of the more ‘bizarre’ elements at the 2010 Paris Motor Show but for us on TwoWheels it makes sense for a brand like Smart to develop an electric scooter model.
We’ll be bringing you pics of the Mini eScooter which is decidedly more interesting from a branding point of view than its rival Smart, but they’re both curious and well-designed models in their own right.
In the four-wheel segment, Smart is not exactly without worries at the moment and its cult status has been dented by the appearance of other competitors in the minicar/citycar sector.
And so now it’s expanding with this eScooter model which is faithful to the Smart brand in both style and substance.
It appears alongside the Smart eBike which is also an electric two-wheeled model, but is a bicycle instead.
Rather than the Smart eScooter being considered bizarre in itself, what is strange, and very telling, is that Smart’s world debut new models at the Paris Motor Show are both two-wheeled vehicles.
And that is the extent of the brand’s new product at the show.
Details on both the eScooter and eBike after the jump.
