WSBK releases updated calendar

Posting yesterday about the World Superbike round at Brno being off the calendar has prompted the FIM to release an updated version, but still provisional 2013 World Superbike calendar.
The new version indicates a date change for the third event of the season at Aragón, which has been moved from April 7 to 14, in order not to clash with MotoGP’s season opener in Qatar (night race) which was moved to April 7th after the Argentina GP round was cancelled.

The Imola round is still subject to contract as is Portimao (who has financial problems), while the June 23rd event date looks like it is still up for grabs, with Misano the more likely candidate as Brno seems to be definitely off the calendar, but hosting two events in Italy, one week after the other, may be okay for viewing audiences but it can turn out to be an attendance suicide.

Revised Provisional 2013 WSBK Calendar 24/02: Phillip Island (Australia) 10/03: Buddh Circuit (India) 14/04: MotorLand Aragon (Spain) 28/04: Assen (Netherlands) 12/05: Monza (Italy) 26/05: Donington Park (Great Britain) 09/06: Portimao (Portugal) * subject to contract 23/06: TBA 30/06: Imola (Italy) * subject to contract 21/07: Mosca (Russia) 04/08: Silverstone (Great Britain) 01/09: Nurburgring (Germany) 29/09: Laguna Seca (USA) 06/10: Magny Cours (France) 20/10: Jerez (Spain)
