MotoGP Brno Qualifying – Rossi Pole, Record and Crash

Valentino Rossi may have been today’s poleman during the Brno qualifying session by just 0.
050s breaking the exsisting pole record on race tires and crashing out in the final three minutes of the qualifying session, but it was his team mate Jorge Lorenzo who’s race pace impressed the most and who was on top of the timesheets with his 1.

Third went to Dani Pedrosa who will be complete the first row, 0.

Toni Elias, who officially lost his place in team Gresini for 2010 when Fausto Gresini announced the return of Marco Melandri to the fold, took fourth .
Fifth place went to Colin Edwards who was riding with a swollen neck gland, while Andrea Dovizioso was 6th and the last rider within one second of the pole.

Alex DeAngelis, also out of ride was 7th and Nicky Hayden took eighth just 0.

Loris Capirossi was ninth and top ten was closed by Mika Kallio who had spent most of the session ahead of Hayden until he crashed out, but was able to rejoin the session, but not better his time.

Chris Vermeulen qualified 11th, with Niccolo Canepa 12th fastest and Randy de Puniet was 13th.
14th place went to James Toseland while Marco Melandri will start 15th.
Kallio’s substitute in Pramac Ducati WSBK rider Michel Fabrizio will start 16th ahead of Gabor Talmacsi who considers Brno his home race.
