We’ve already shown you a brief trailer video of Rainband’s tribute to the late Marco Simoncelli, and the band has generously posted on YouTube the entire video of their single ‘Rise Again’, whose sales proceeds will all go to the Marco Simoncelli Foundation and it will be released on i-tunes on June 18.
Kate Fretti, Marco’s girlfriend who continues to live with the Simoncelli’s and works full time with the Foundation, – she was at the Jerez GP with a booth – in an interview with Italy’s edition of Vanity Fair reported that with the generous donations they’ve received so far they are building a home in the Domincan Republic for thirty disabled orphaned children (some from disaster torn Haiti) that also includes a day hospital that will provide free healthcare to hundreds of other disadvantaged children.
They’ve also donated a €15,000 for an electronic microscope to the Semi di Pace International charity to help children with eye problems in Burundi and their next project is to transform an old and abandoned hotel in Rimini and turn it into a children’s center.
