The FIM has released the 2013 World Superbike calendar and the series will be jumping from the traditional fourteen rounds to fifteen.
As we already know after the recent press releases by Infront, the World Superbike championship will be switching venues for their solo US round, dropping Miller Motorsports Park for the much more popular Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca and they have added Jerez del Frontera which will host the final round of the season.
Missing is Sentul, Indonesia despite Infront having announced last February that they had signed a five-year contract and the race was to be held sometime in March, also missing is the Misano Adriatico and Brno.
Confirmed is the first ever WSBK race to be held in India at the Buddh circuitMonza has also been reconfirmed after losing their homologation following the ‘bubbles scandal’, while the Russian round has been anticipated in July instead of August, and Motorland Aragon has been moved to April instead of September, while Portimao will be in June, but it is subject to contract.
