MCN has published in its own weekly the design of the 2009 Yamaha R1.
The design has been created on the basis of rumours collected from English journalists.
New aspects regarding the 2009 version of the YZF-R1 come from 10 years of success for the model.
The underseat exhaust is gone and is substituted by a side exhaust similar to that adopted for the R6.

The front with new air flow has been completely re-designed and the engine is now completely in view with new transmission derived from the FJR 1300.
