During Repsol Honda’s team launch last January in Madrid, MotoGP rookie Marc Marquez received the suprise visit from his grandfather Ramon and he got a brief guided tour of the MotoGP bike from his 20-year old grandson, but the best part of the video is this sweet old man saying to his two-time World champion grandson … ‘don’t take too many risks’.
Marquez and team mate Dani Pedrosa will start testing at COTA from today [Tuesday] until Thursday, and they will be joined by LCR Honda’s Stefan Bradl and Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, and also wildcard CRT team Attack Performance with Blake Young, who is returning after last month’s test at the demanding Austin circuit.
Hopefully Attack Performance owner Richard Stanboli’s warning regarding the COTA circuit will not be prophetic for those teams who decided to not take part in the private test, as he told Statesman-com, “It will be challenging if they (other teams) show up without testing.
They are going to crash a lot of bikes.
