This weekend’s World Supersport race at Monza will see the grid swell to 36 riders, as number of Italian riders have been entered as wild cards.
Former Moto2 rider rider Raffaele de Rosa will be at the Temple of Speed as a wild card for Team Lorini next to Andrea Antonelli and Roberto Tamburini and trying to get his waning career back on track.

De Rosa as many of you may remember, decided to quit debuting WSBK team Pro Ride, who after another round with Lorenzo Alfonsi is now ‘temporarily on hold’ after losing two sponsors.

Highly popular CIV riders Mirko Giansanti and Stefano Cruciani (who used to race and was beat by half a point against a certain Valentino Rossi back in the days of the Sport Production 125 championship) will be also entering with Puccetti Racing Kawasaki team.

KujaRacing will be fielding not only Thomas Caiani this weekend but also CIV privateers Roberto Anastasia (who had a WSBK wildcard ride at Misano in 2010) and Giovanni Altomonte.
