Jorge Lorenzo in favour of CRT's

Casey Stoner doesn’t like the idea of CRT’s – Livio Suppo wants CRT riders to have a super racing license because he believes they’ll be a danger on track with their slower bikes – while former World Champion Jorge Lorenzo is toeing the Dorna party line and approves the bikes as a cheaper solution to pump up a dwindling grid.

In an interview with Spanish news agency EFE, the Spanish rider said, “Anything that cuts costs in a time of crisis and allows sponsors to enter this world with fewer investments is positive.
From my personal point of view if speed and power are also reduced in the future, this would be better because we are reaching exaggerated power and speed.

Racing at 360 km is a good feeling, but ultimately it is a bit dangerous.
There is no other option, or we do that or we will not grow, it is an emergency decision to fill up the grid.
” Regarding his dispute with Marco Simoncelli, Lorenzo is sorry, “Maybe the criticism against Simoncelli shouldn’t have been done in front of the cameras, the issue should have taken up in a private chat to try to sort things out.

I saw a problem and tried to find a solution to improve safety for all the riders.
But Marco had changed and was more aware of everything he did and had learned from his mistakes.
The crash wasn’t reckless, it was totally bad luck.
”Talking about his finger injury sustained during warm-up practice at Phillip Island, he said “My injury is visually stunning and it doesn’t look good, but could have been worse.
Losing half a finger tip is something that will be there for the rest of my life and little by little I’ll accept it and the recovery is well under way.
Things could have been much worse, but I would have cut off the whole finger or two fingers to have Marco here with us.
All the riders would have done the same thing.
