Happy birthday V-Rod! Ten years have passed since the first HarleyDavidson V-Rod first hit the market – the controversial VRSCA V-Rod introduced the first v-twin, water-cooled engine with an adventurous design and ten years later we can celebrate what was virtually an instant classic.
HarleyDavidson has developed this V-Rod Anniversary edition to celebrate and while it looks different, its substance is the same.

A spikey look around the body panels and new rear end with LED lights highlight the large rear wheel, and the front gets a slightly redesigned mudguard.
New double, five-spoke wheels are also offered on a model that comes in “total black).
More technical features include a new exhaust system and revised riding position.
The new anniversary V-Rod gets a latest-edition 1250cc Revolution engine with twin-cam and water-cooling technology.

It uses ESPFI electronic sequential ignition and has 125 hp, and 111 Nm of torque.
The Night Rod special updates for 2012 include ABS as standard, Brembo double disc brakes, upside forks with new hydraulic system, and a classic double rear shock.
The look is dominated by the Michelin Scorcher tyres, and new alloy wheels save 1.

4 kg – off the overall weight of 289 kg.
A narrow rear light is part of the style and a new inclusion upfront is the smaller front mudguard, but otherwise it’s the same old Rod.
The Anniversary edition is available in Brilliant Silver Pearl at a price of about €19,300, while the Night Rod Special comes in Vivid Black, Black Denim and Sedona Orange at €18,300.
