Ducati elected not to test at Brno yesterday, deciding instead to conduct a two-day test at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli that started today – and the test is open to the public (entrance fee is 5 euros).
As previously programmed, Valentino Rossi continued work on the evo version of GP12 that debuted during the Mugello post-race test last month before, the bike suffered an ECU problem that caused Valentino Rossi to crash out at the Correntaio and forcing the team to cut testing short.

The soon-to-be ex- Ducati rider did a total of 60 laps (no times were revealed, but 1’35″3 is being bandied around) under the watchful eye of Filippo Preziosi and team manager Vittoriano Guareschi, and test rider Franco Battaini was also on track, as they worked again on chassis updates and weight distribution (the bane of Ducati).
Testing will resume tomorrow (Wednesday) and then Ducati is expected to head to Mugello for more testing (without Rossi) where Danilo Petrucci will get another chance to ride the GP12.
