With less riders expected to take part in the 2011 World Superbike Championship, the Superbike Commission in a teleconference that took place on December 14th, have reconfirmed the popular knock out Superpole format, but have modified the number of riders who will be able to qualify for the Superpole session, after the combined qualifying results, reducing the current twenty riders to just sixteen.
– The first 16 riders of the qualifying practice results will take part in Superpole 1.
– The first 12 riders of the Superpole 1 results will take part in Superpole 2.
– The first 8 riders of the Superpole 2 results will take part in Superpole 3.
