In these pics you can see the hybrid, three-wheel scooter presented by Peugeot at the Eicma show.
Models such as these could become a new alternative in urban, ecological vehicles.
The main characteristic of this scooter is the all-wheel drive on three wheels.
The thermal 125cc engine has Satelis Compressor and produces 15kw (20hp) from the rear wheel.
There are two 3kw electric engines situated near the front wheels, which are equipped with lithium ion batteries that are rechargeable in deceleration.
The cooperation between the two engines is electronically controlled by the “By Wire” system.
The vehicle can funtion in the three modes: electric only (in starting phase, at low speeds and when braking), with a 10km range, or in thermal mode only (traditional engine), or with the two combined.
The latter works only when starting and a greater acceleration speeds, with a combined power of 21kw (29hp), and can use the all-wheel drive system when the terrain requires.
Other elements of this scooter include transverse shock absorbers, a longer windshield that is then closed into the rear of the scooter, and ABS braking.
There is also a Stop & Start system, reducing emissions even further, which puts the thermal engine in stand by when the vehicle is stopped or using the electric function.
In some conditions the hybrid scooter consumes only two litres of fuel per 100km, with CO2 emissions at 47 g/km.
The styling takes on certain elements of the 308 RCZ concept car, with the roof section in polycarbon, an alluminium frame and passenger space that includes handles.
