Triumph expands its offer in the adventure-touring segment with the new Tiger Explorer XC 2013, quite clearly inspired by its “little sister” Tiger 800 XC.
The model had been introduced to the fans during the recent Triumph Live – the largest Triumph festival in the world which was held at Mallory Park, England, last weekend – but the official presentation will take place at the International Motor Show in Cologne (Intermot) next month.
The model will then hit the dealerships by March 2013.
The Triumph Tiger Explorer XC 2013 will come with a set of aluminum rims with steel spokes – measuring 19″ at the front and 17″ at the rear – which will improve the handling of the Explorer and take maximum advantage of the benefits offered by its tubeless tires.
A generous standard equipment will emphasize the adventurous attitude of this bike, which will provide for safety and comfort whatever sort of journey you will get yourself into.
Other highlights include Adventure hand guards, 55 Watt fog lights, increase visibility even when the outputs will go on until late.
The sturdy 22 mm steel skid bars and the aluminum belly pan offer maximum protection even on the most demanding routes, while a list of 54 other accessories will allow owners to further customize their XC according to their own tastes.
The new Tiger Explorer XC will be powered by a 3-cylinder 1215 cc engine delivering 137 hp and 121 Nm of torque, with cruise control, traction control, switchable ABS and a shaft drive that requires minimal maintenance.
