KTM 1190 Adventure and 1190 Adventure R to be launched at the Intermot: first official pics and info

KTM will be at Intermot in Cologne (October 3-7) to introduce the world to the new generation of the Adventure, and yesterday they released the first official images and info about the two new bikes that in February 2013 will make their debut in their range: meet the KTM Adventure 1190 and the 1190 Adventure R.

These two newly developed models will then represent the Adventure Generation 2013, and will come with several elements that have made the success of the Austrian manufacturer, including of course a powerful and light two cylinder motor as well as high quality components.

Each bike will position itself in a different segment of the market (as one is more ‘off-road’-oriented and the other is more focused on road use), but both will benefit from a unique package of electronic assistance systems of the highest level.
The 1190 Adventure is the asphalt-friendly one (wide 19- and 17-inch tires) which was designed and developed for the pleasure of versatile road users, while KTM Adventure R is the bike that – in the words of the manufacturer itself – “shows what is feasible from a sporting perspective“, the one that has been specifically developed for sporty off-road action in line with the best KTM tradition.

After the jump there’s the list of the technical specs that the manufacturer announced yesterday, but more data and images will be released in conjunction with the official presentation in Cologne.
