The FIM has released a provisional Superbike World Championship calendar for next season with the usually 13 rounds and looking more like an ‘European’ championship than a world one, with only two flyaway races on the calendar, Phillip Island, Australia and Miller Motorsport Park, USA.
The season kick off once again at Phillip Island on February 27th, while the second round at the end of March has still the country and venue location to be announced.
The Miller Motorsport Park round will be raced on Monday, Memorial Day as it was this year.
Three rounds in Italy, Monza, Misano and a third venue to be announced, with many Italians hoping it will be Vallelunga taking Imola’s place on the calendar.
Portimao is listed at the final round and scheduled for October 16 making the 2011 season slightly longer than this year’s.
