By Queroseno Racing(BQR) has confirmed that they’ll be entering the 2012 MotoGP championship under the Avintia Racing banner and will be fielding two FTR-Kawasaki CRTs.
BQR team owner Raúl Romero who is also Avintia Racing’s team manager, has decided to promote their Moto2 rider Yonny Hernandez (who underwent surgery to his left wrist last month) to MotoGP and will also retain Ivan Silva, the reigning CEV Stock Extreme Champion.
Hernandez and Silva tested the FTR-Kawasaki at Valencia and Jerez last November.
“The partnership with Avintia will allow us to race at the highlest level of motorcyle racing,” said Raul Romero.
“We can present a winning team in Moto2 and Moto3, while with CRT program in MotoGP we are investing on the future.
Our bike will be assembled and developed entirely in Spain and this is a source of pride for us.
Avintia Racing will be in Moto2 with Julian Simon on a FTR Moto M212 while the 2011 Rookie of the Year, Maverick Vinales who was recently reconfirmed, will be riding a FTR Moto M312 with a Honda engine.
