In the UK, ‘AA’ stands for Automobile Association, which provides various services, among which is road assistance.
To improve their road assistance offering, the association has recently introduced and expanded (in the London metropolitan area) its bike patrol unit.
Statistics show that a major part of breakdowns occur in the metropolitan areas, causing significant disruption.

The bike patrol unit has in its fleet Deauville 700, and Silverwing 600, which can reach breakdowns a third quicker than vans.

The advantage lies in the speed of assistance, while on-the-sport interventions are limited to battery replacements and tyre repairs.
