Harley–Davidson introduced its new range of models for the coming year just a while ago, but that doesn’t mean they’ve stopped paying attention to local markets: in Italy they’ve just unveiled the Sportster Iron 883 Special Edition, a new rendition of the popular model introduced in 2009 and destined to the Italian market only.
Thanks to its tough and dark aesthetics, the ‘regular’ Sportster Iron 883 turned out to be quite a success in Europe, and Harley–Davidson Italy decided to celebrate its good sales in style with the release of this stunning Special Edition, based on the XL883N version.
The resulting bike is something simply unique, which is even more evil-looking than the bike it is based upon.
This new babe will come with dragbar, upside-down wing mirrors, aeronautical braided brake hose, Asy saddle, passenger seat and pegs, lowered rear shocks and the footpegs which have been moved forward a little bit for a more stable riding position.
However, arguably the most distinctive feature of this exclusive Harley–Davidson is its air filter cover, which has been specifically designed for this Italian Special Edition and bears the logo of the bike written in the colors of the Italian flag.
Engine and chassis are exactly the same as in the standard model, and the same goes for the captivating matt black bodywork.
This cool variant of the Harley–Davidson Sportster Iron 883 is sexy and nasty, and what’s more it is not that expensive either: in Italy it will go on sale for 9,800 €, and in the light of the fact that the regular model is priced there at 9,100 €, it’s not difficult that to figure out that the special bits it’s been given to make it that stylish – all of which were picked from the H-D catalogue – are far more expensive than the difference in price between the two versions.
