Moto2 and Moto3 riders testing at Albacete

While MotoGP testing was garnering all the attention of the media, several Moto3 and Moto2 teams were at Albacete, Spain for a two-day private test and just like Valencia and Aragon, Albacete was also wet hampering yesterday’s (Wednesday) first day of testing.
No offial lap times were released because several teams decided not to activate their transponders, however the fastest rider of the day turned out to be Toni Elias followed by Julian Simon (2nd at Valencia) The two Spaniards have switched machines for the upcoming season, Elias is on Avintia Blusens Moto2 Kalex machine while Simon is on Italtrans Suter.

Elias’ new team mate Kyle Smith wasn’t present as he’ll be racing in the CEV Stock Extreme race at Valencia this weekend.
Italtrans Takaaki Nakagami is also present as are Marc VDS riders Scott Redding, Mika Kalio, Louis Rossi who was making his debut with Tech3, Marcel Schrotter and Stefan Nebel.
Moto3 riders included Alex Rins (Monlau Competicion and will be switching from Suter to KTM) and Luis Salom (Red Bull KTM Ajo Factory Team ), 15-year old and Rookies Cup rider Livio Loi who will be riding for Marc VDS next season, Harry Stafford and Danny Kent.
